Tapasya celebrates Divali, The Feast of Light

Carnatic music workshop by Ludwig Pesch, Songs by Nasima Falguny and Tanjore Quartet Dance Performances

On Friday 5 November Hindus all over the world will celebrate Divali, the festival in honour of the Goddess Laxmi. Laxmi is one of the appearances of the Mother Goddess,symbolising Prosperity, Happiness and Fortune.

Divali also means celebrating the triumph of Goodness over Evil and being aware of your innerlight and inner-purity. It is considered an auspicious period for selfreflection and spiritual activities.

In the honour of Divali, Tapasya will organize a program full of dance, music and singing.

We happily invite you to celebrate Divali with us on Sunday 31 October!

1. Bharata Natyam Dance: Ganesh Kautuvam, Tanjore Quartet Composition, performed by Tarsika en Abi Vivekananthan

2. Reading about Divali- Hindu Counsellor Rawie Sewnath

3. Music Workshop Carnatic (South Indian) music - Ludwig Pesch

5. Music performance: Bamboo Flute - Ludwig Pesch

6. Singing Performance - Nasima Falguny

Tapasya viert Divali, het Lichtfeest

Met een muziekworkshop van Ludwig Pesch, Zang van Nasima Falguny en Tanjore Quartet Dans voorstellingen

zondag 31 oktober 1500-1700u

Vrijdag 5 november viert men over de hele wereld Divali: het feest ter ere van de Godin Laxmi. Laxmi is 1 van de verschijningen van de Goddelijke Moeder en symboliseert welvaart, geluk en voorspoed. Divali betekent ook het vieren van de overwinning van het goed op het kwaad en bewustwording van je innerlijke licht en innerlijke reinheid. De periode rond Divali wordt beschouwd als een gunstige periode voor zelfreflectie en spirituele activiteiten.

Stichting Tapasya organiseert ter gelegheid van Divali een programma met dans, muziek en zang. Uiteraard staan we ook stil bij de betekenis van Divali en wordt de Godin Laxmi vereerd.
